Afternoon Tea

There is nothing I would not do for those who are really my friends. I have no notion of loving people by halves, it is not my nature. – Jane Austen, Northanger Abbey

And the pre-wedding celebration continues. Last April 11th my dear friends have organized an afternoon tea-themed bridal shower for yours truly. The day was filled with fragrant floral arrangements, decadent desserts, and tasty hors d’oeuvres. I was taken by surprise when I came in as the elegant setting welcomed me to D’s apartment. We spent the afternoon playing some games, indulging ourselves with food, tea, and wine.

I have other friends who saw these photos beforehand and have commented how beautiful the table setting was. I was happy and proud of my ladies who prepared these for me to make the day a very memorable one (and memorable it was).

I was able to take some lifestyle themed photos prior, but the rest were taken by my friends. Of course, film photos will be present: I took Instax photos which you can view here.

  1. Saw this on your instagram and had to see more that is such a lovely table setting and I am so in love with the “naked” cake. No worries the goodwill on portage has not been good to me lately if you go you may find yourself a cute cup or two:) maybe one day I will run into in the area!

  2. Thank you! The cake was actually a taste test for my wedding as I’m hooked with naked cakes as well. ;P I think I bought all the nice cups near my area – my friend from Tokyo apparently is hooked to firekings so I got her a bunch when I visited her a few years back.

  3. I’m easing my way in to Firekings…very eccentric. next project..kitchen cupboard content makeover.
    Love the photos Arianne!
