Le Marché St. Norbert

Canada Digital Food Nature People

A few weeks back, S has invited me to check out St. Norbert Farmers’ Market. I was on the look out for succulents, and even though I had to wake up early on a Saturday, I gave it ago. As I said, it was all in the name of everlasting friendship. LOL.

Turns out, it was a great day to visit the farmers’ market.

I was surprised to see so many people at the market at around 9:00 am. Farmers’ market is very different from the wet market that I was so used to visiting when I was a kid, but it was never devoid of exciting things to see.

Handmade soaps! S and I checked out two stalls and bought from them.

We had an early lunch at Red Ember (as recommended by one of the ladies at the soap stall). We had a woodfired Caprese pizza. So good!

And we found succulents! We went back to the stall several times to decide what to get (as well as see what else we can find) before deciding what to get. But first, succulents.

And more succulents! Don’t worry, there were honey, fresh vegetables, handmade crafts, and homemade salsa and BBQ sauces too, but we didn’t want to interrupt the other people buying so we didn’t take much photos.

My purchases! I was tempted to buy lots, but we didn’t take a car (as neither of us have regular licenses yet, he he) and I don’t need the rest of the plants until spring next year.

Thanks S for inviting me to join you! <3
