I got this Ricoh 500 G a few years back at a thrift store. I finally just ran a test roll in it and after a few rolls I gave up. The focusing ring is very sticky, and I find the ISO dial to be very bothersome to use. The focusing patch was very faint too (my main pet peeve in rangefinders!). Maybe that was the reason this particular unit was sent to the thrift store. *shrugs*

Although I can say that the lens (Ricoh Rikenon 40mm 1:2.8-16) was actually quite good. I encouraged my husband to salvage the lens somehow. I even confused these photos from my husband’s Pentax MX (where I transferred the film roll with the remaining frames). 🙂
