Illinois, Part 3 – Art Institute of Chicago

After our bus tour and lunch at Chinatown, our next stop was the Art Institute of Chicago.

I had my favourite installations there, mainly City and Country: Views of Urban and Rural Japan and Ralph Eugene Meatyard: Dolls and Masks. But as you can see, I spent a lot of time at the Renaissance area (didn’t even get to finish looking around the Asian Art section because my sister said to hurry up (when in fact I still had time to spare).

Yes, this is the famous Van Gogh self-portrait. 🙂

I’m actually surprised that visitors are actually allowed to take photos (provided that you don’t use your flash).
